Guest Facilities

Set in the picturesque Cudgegong Valley, Old Wallinga commands inspiring views of gentle rolling hills, grazing cattle and dams which are home to native birds and ducks. Children and pets are welcome at Old Wallinga.

Homestead Facilities

Two styles of accommodation are available at Old Wallinga - the main house and the stables. The main house offers two bedrooms with private entrances and ensuites/toilets. Both bedrooms have king size double beds which can be separated into 2 singles. The owners quarters are in a separate part of the main house, giving guests the privacy they may wish for. There is also a toilet/washroom off the main hallway.

The Stables

The stables (also built by Cox's in 1865 - see the history page), have been fully restored, and are divided into two areas; each has a queen-size bed downstairs and a spiral staircase leading to a loft, complete with two single beds. Each area has its own modular ensuite bathroom, refrigerator, television, slow combustion fireplace and overhead fan. There is separate parking for Stables guests.

Other Facilities

The main dining room, which seats 12, offers charm from yesteryear, or there is the second dining/sitting room which has a fireplace and television. You may prefer to dine on the screened verandah and enjoy the magnificent views and quiet beauty of the surroundings.

The screened verandah opens onto a courtyard with barbecue facilities and swimming pool. Relax in the ambience of the guest sitting room with a cosy open fire and library. Television and video are also available. The surrounding grounds and fruit trees are kept lush with lawn sprinklers. The tennis court is at your disposal.

A range of home-made jams & preserves are available, made from home grown apricots, peaches & strawberries, also local cherries. Fresh fruit is available for breakfasts.
