Dyno Printouts
This Dyno Run was with standard injectors maxed out at 12psi with 4.6 diff and in 3rd gear Approximately 260-270 at flywheel. With this horsepower it run 12.3@109mph.
Dyno run was with new toyota supra injectors bigger intercooler with 4.625 diff in 4th gear Approximately 300hp at flywheel running 15psi It run 12.0@113mph with this power.
It compares to the stock turbo and smaller intercooler peaking at 15psi and dropping off to 10psi before it was tuned. It ran 12.8@106 with 170hp.
This dyno tune was my latest had been having problems with car not running like it should ended up the ignition timing was way out like 15 degrees retarded. Thanks go to Jim at Croyden for the great job. As you can see with the 400hp turbo and latest headwork it has gained a heap of midrange from 4000rpm (max torque) it hits really hard with this power 190kw = 255hp it should be running around 11.6@120mph. There is still quite a bit more power to be gained as we found the bleed valve I am using is not the best for accurately controlling boost it would peek at 24psi before settling down to 18psi and had to tune the engine for the higher boost level. With more timing and better fuel should see 200KW+ with less boost. I was supprised to see how much difference ignition timing made with 2 degrees more advance we saw a 4kw gain at the wheels. Its a bit of a science getting reliable power as you have to have the right boost level compression ratio ignition advance and fuel octane all making for serious power if you can get it right. Note the date on dyno printout is wrong should be 23-3-2002.
